Just what we need

More Taxes right? More Government? More complicated tax codes? More bailouts? Kind of makes you wonder if any one in DC even has a brain, much less knows how to us one. In real world common sense dictates that the best answer is most often the simplest solution, forth with the “KISS” (KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID) method would be the best. Our representatives can only relate to the last word in “KISS”, that is stupid. Our current tax codes are thousands of pages in length and are so complex and contradictory that even the IRS it self doesn’t understand them. So we the people are left with the need to hire an expensive CPA to deal with the complexity of the IRS codes. Do you think that this fits the KISS method? Now that we’ve determined that our current tax laws are about as far for simple as you could possible get and that require an army of overpaid IRS agents to enforce. (I wonder what that cost us?) All this begs us to ask the question isn’t there a better and less expensive way to support our government? One that doesn’t require an army of IRS agents and CPA’s to enforce. One that would be easy to maintain and update every year. A plan that doesn’t require thousands of pages of complex tax laws or thousands of IRS agents and CPA’s to make it work. Taxation that is Simplistic, reasonable and far less expensive on the taxpayer with more of our money going to the countries real needs. One that has no loop wholes and everyone is taxed equally. Wow now that’s a great idea! Wait a minute how can we accomplish this? The answer is to follow the “KISS” method of thinking. We all spend a good portion of what we earn for the things that we need or want right? In fact most of us would spend more if we had it to spend True? We all pay sales tax to the Cities, Counties and State’s now right? What if we had a national sales tax, in lieu of our or current income taxes, Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare? How would a sales tax help us? To start with we would be able to eliminate most of the IRS agents and support staff, that’s got to save us billions of dollars alone. Eliminate payroll deductions. We would no longer need to spend money filing our taxes every year, billions more in savings. The constant worry over audits, did we get all of our deductions or how much am I going to have to pay. No death tax No capital gains tax NO INCOME TAX No Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid We could KISS all these worries good bye.
